(An optional Southwest-branded reusable car seat/stroller bag is available for purchase at any Southwest Airlines ticket counter for a 15 one time fee. PeaceHealth Sacred Heart at RiverBend wants to make sure that every infant and child leaving our hospital is leaving as safely as possible. The good news is a properly installed car seat can reduce a child's risk of death in a motor vehicle collision by as much as 71 percent. What if the child in the improperly installed car seat was someone you knew and loved? Adding to the situation, local car seat clinics are already operating at capacity, making it harder for many families to access these services to get their car seats installed properly. Local car seat clinics show this number to be even higher. Safe Kids USA data shows that 73 percent of car seats are installed incorrectly. We're excited about an amazing opportunity that aims to reduce the risk of childhood fatalities in our community and we hope you will join us by making your gift today.
